Mill Mountain Theatre

In 1964, two New York producers established a summer stock theater in a vacant resort inn on the highest point in Roanoke, Virginia. From these modest beginnings grew one of the most respected regional theatres in the country. Mill Mountain Theatre now presents world premieres, dramatic classics, full-scale musicals, youth-oriented productions and educational classes for aspiring thespians of all ages. July 26 - August 20. One of the best-loved names in country music is the subject of “Always...Patsy Cline,” a funny and touching tribute as narrated by one of her most devoted fans and friends. In spite of her tragically brief career, Patsy Cline’s voice continues to enthrall millions of fans and influence many of today’s country and pop singers. This intimate show written by Ted Swindley celebrates the career and life of the singer of such hits as “I Fall To Pieces,” “Your Cheatin' Heart,” “Walkin' After Midnight” and “Crazy.”

September 26 - 30. Eva Schloss, Holocaust survivor and “character” in the play, “And Then They Came For Me,” will be in Roanoke for a post-show discussion and Q & A session with the cast and theatre staff after each performance.
