The story of southwestern Virginia from pre-historic to modern times unfolds in brilliant detail at the History Museum and Historical Society of Western Virginia. Since 1957, the museum has been collecting and preserving artifacts, documents and other pertinent memorabilia to bring this important history to life. “Free Fridays”: No charge from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. every second Friday from January to November.
